"Perhaps this is the point of the exercise Aang? Balkanisation is the strategy they employ in their other fields of endeavour so why not employ it here too? Clearly the internet is a threat to their plans to institute neo-feudalism, perhaps the only threat. Okay, so how to destroy it?
"Why not overplay their hand, freak everybody out, and then have them all sever their connections? The global village would thus be rendered back into a series of isolated villages. What was Lear's lesson again? Something about individual sticks versus a bundle wasn't it?
