Police interview of Adebolajo or his double.
Michael Adebolajo, or his double, is now on trial in London for 'the murder of soldier Lee Rigby' in Woolwich in London.
On 5 December 2013, the court was shown film of police interviews with 'Adebolajo' in which he said:
The alleged murder was not "a personal vendetta" against Lee Rigby.
"We decided to wait in the vicinity of the barracks that are in Woolwich.
"By the command of Allah, Allah's decree, we waited to find a soldier because between us we decided that the soldier is the most fair target because he joins the army with kind of an understanding that your life is at risk.

"We sat in wait and it just so happened that he was the soldier that was spotted first.
(Lee Rigby was not wearing military uniform and thus Adebolajo could not have known that he was a soldier)
Adebolajo's best friend Kirk Redpath, killed by Moslems in Iraq.
'Adebolajo' continued:
"It was almost as if Allah had chosen him, when I thought about obeying Allah in the past I thought maybe it is possible to kill a man by driving into him.

"When he crossed the road in front of me so casually it was almost as if I was not in control of myself.
"I accelerated, I hit him and I think I also crashed into a sign post."
(Some people suspect that the car was planted at the scene by the security services)
The white unmarked lorry is suspected of being the property of the military.
"We did not wish to give him much pain...I could see he was still alive.
"We exited the vehicle and I am not sure how I struck the first blow.
"The most humane way to kill any creature is to cut the jugular, this is what I believe, this is how we kill our animals in Islam."
'Adebolajo' continued:
"He may be my enemy but he is a man...so I struck at the neck and attempted to remove his head...
"To be killed on the battlefield is not something we shy away from and in fact this is something that Allah loves...
Adebolajo praised Nigel Farage (leader of the pro-Israel, anti-immigration UKIP party), saying that he would answer "straight questions".
'Adebolajo' said that a soldier "was the most fair target" as they had joined the army understanding that their life would be at risk.
