THE GERMAN FRANKFURT SCHOOL

The German Frankfurt School was set up by certain mainly Jewish gentlemen in the 1920s.

In the 1920s, much of the world was ruled by a corrupt elite of dictators, Kings, lords and oligarchs.

There was a lot of extreme inequality and exploitation, whether in communist Russia or capitalist America or wherever.

1920s communist Russia.

The German Frankfurt School can be seen as 'an ideas factory' and these ideas can be used by:

(1) people who want to lessen the power of the corrupt elite,

And

(2) people who want to be part of the corrupt elite.

The German Frankfurt School believed that our 'Culture' is used to keep the corrupt elite in power.

Some of the people in the German Frankfurt School apparently wanted to demolish Christianity, family life, good manners in schools, and traditional culture, in order to bring about some kind of New World Order.

WINSIP CUSTER has a post entitled EDWARD SNOWDEN, WILLIAM BINNEY AND FRANK WALLEN SNEPP

According to Winsip Custer:

1. Former Stanford professor Anthony Sutton states that, from at least as early as the 1830s, the United States was being controlled by a group of power elites that became known as 'The Order' and which developed into the Military Industrial Complex.

2. Sutton shows how some of the ideas coming from German Frankfurt School's ideas are being used by 'The Order'.

3. As an example of 'The Order's thinking, Sutton has written that the USA's Military Industrial Complex sold technology to both sides in the Vietnam War.

Marcuse

What do we know about the following people associated with the German Frankfurt School?

1. Herbert Marcuse claimed to oppose the dehumanizing effects of capitalism and modern technology.

Marcuse claimed that the extreme forms of sexual liberation were being used by the elite to keep themselves in power.

In other words, the sexually extreme people were using up all their energies in sex, rather than using their energies to challenge the elite.

Those influenced by Marcuse include such people as Angela Davis,[11] Abbie Hoffman and Rudi Dutschke

Leszek Kołakowski described Marcuse's views as anti-Marxist, in that they discarded the idea of class struggle and in that they supported the idea of a world where all social rules should be discarded to create a "New World of Happiness".

Kołakowski concluded that Marcuse's ideal society "is to be ruled despotically by an enlightened group. [22]

In the USA, Marcuse worked for the OSS (the forerunner of the CIA) and the US Department of State.

Was he, secretly, one of the bad guys?

Adorno

2. Theodor Adorno, like Herbert Marcuse, argued that advanced capitalism had managed to contain or destroy the forces that could have once brought about its collapse.

He argued that the revolutionary moment had passed.

Adorno argued that capitalism had become more entrenched through the destruction of individualism.

Was he telling us that we should accept the Feudal System?

3. Antonio Gramsci, 1891 - 1937, suggested that the elite have managed to hold onto their power by controlling the 'Culture' and by offering minor concessions to the people.

Conclusion

In the animal kingdom we find that there are 'dominance hierarchies'.

In other words, there is a pecking order of some kind.

In relatively large countries, such as Russia, America, Germany and China, it is difficult to stop the 'dominant apes' from causing problems.

The best way to ensure that the top animals behave reasonably fairly is to copy small countries such as Switzerland.

The government in Bern has limited powers.

Each county (canton) has large powers.

People can hold referenda on important issues.
